Cycling, MTB & Trail Bike

We are Hammering Hills & Leisurely Pedals.

Cycling along the Harvey Region’s coastal and hinterland roads and trails is one of life’s great pleasures. You’ll find yourself riding alongside the beautiful waters of the Leschenault Estuary or on rugged Jarrah forest tracks, and open roads that wind their way through idyllic dairy country hinterland and country cafes to hill climbs that will get your legs burning and reward you with sensational views. And finish it off with an adrenaline rushing downhill adventure.

Mountain bikers, road cyclists, weekend rouleurs, triathletes, gravel riders, families and everyone in between all find a place to pedal in the Harvey Region. You can go your own way, or team up with a local club for an escape on two wheels.

Family Friendly Rides

Feast on panoramic views of the Leschenault Estuary while soaking in the local history on the Eaton-Australind Historic Trail in Australind. Nothing beats this for a family friendly bike ride.

Another dual path option but one that will challenge your fitness, is the Harvey Hike Trail, which travels from Harvey town site to the Harvey Dam via Billy Goat’s Hill.

Road Cycling

From Estuary vistas to bucolic dairy farms, the Harvey Region is pumping with road cycling options. Our back roads are the perfect way to hit your kilometre targets whilst soaking up the scenery. We do warn you – stopping for cows to cross the road at milking time is not uncommon!

Our favourite rides include, Yarloop Wokalup Road Cycling Trail  and the Brunswick to Wokalup Ale Cycling Trail.

Keen to ride with some locals, then contact the Harvey Cycling Group. They ride at least once a week and often finish with a coffee at Harper Street Bakery in Harvey.

The main cycle club covering Australind is the South West Cycle Group.

Gravel & MTB

Traverse the Harvey Region from north to south or vise-versa, via one of the best gravel riding trails in Australia, the Munda Biddi Trail.

If you’re chasing some local advice, reach out to the Harvey Off Road Cyclists or you’ll find them at Korijekup Conservation Park most weekends (note, trails unmanaged).
