Walking, Hiking & Trail Running
We are Hiking, Walking & Trail Running Adventures.
Be it a week along a world class walking track, a half-day long stroll along an empty beach or just a few minutes on an urban river walk, the Harvey Region has a trove of options to get your feet moving.
Grab some runners or sturdy walking boots and walk this way.
Beach Walks
The Harvey Region has 42 kms of virtually untouched coastline for you to explore with sand between your toes from Myalup to the Leschenault Peninsula. The Harris Track is a 9 km (18 kms return) walking track in Leschenault Peninsula Conservation Park, with the estuary on onside and Indian ocean on the other. Or, burn off lunch with a sand dune walk in the 100 Acre Wood near Myalup.
Hill Walks
Pick a hill, any hill to get that heart beat racing and fresh air into your lungs. At the Wildflower Ridge Walk, be rewarded with outstanding views of the Harvey Dam, or on the western side, spectacular views across the hinterland and coast. Or, climb Billy Goat Hill along the Harvey Hike Trail from Harvey to Harvey Dam.
River Walks
There is nothing like the tranquility of a tricking stream or river. In Australind, Dandjoo Bilya Trail which winds alongside the Collie and Brunswick rivers, is a remarkable slice of nature for visitors to traverse. Uncover the Brunswick River along the short but sweet Brunswick River Walk, and the Harvey River can be explored in a multiple of locations.
Urban Walks
The Harvey Region’s wild side stretches into its urban area of Australind-Leschenault. The Eaton-Australind Historic Walk Trail is a dual use path that stretches from approximately 18 kms (one way) along the stunning Leschenault Estuary.
Forest Walks
The Bibbulmun Track is one of the world’s greatest long-distance walk trails, stretching nearly 1,000 kilometres from Kalamunda, on the outskirts of Perth, to Albany, with two Harvey Region access points on the Dwellingup to Collie section of the track.
