Located down Penny Lane are the remnants of the Forestry Irrigation Channel, which formed a part of the revolutionary Harvey Irrigation System.

Named after the original Forestry Houses in this location, the channel was also a great place for local children to swim before the opening of the Dr Peter Topham Memorial Swimming Pool in 1983.

Note: Sorry, swimming is now prohibited.
