Harvey Forestry Cottages Historic Site

Harvey Forestry Cottages Historic Site
For about 50 years, a thriving community of Forestry Department cottages stood at this location.

Local forestry firefighting teams and their families occupied them.

In the 1990s, the houses were relocated.

Within this site, an old timber community hall from the mid-20th century still stands, originally located at Tallanalla, a forestry town east of Harvey.

The site is also home to the Forestry Products Commission, which is housed in an old original homestead building.
