Hawaiian Ride for Youth Returns to the Harvey Region. The Hawaiian Ride for Youth is once again making its way through the Harvey Region, with riders set to visit Australind Senior High School and Harvey Senior High School as part of their 2026 journey.

This inspiring event is more than just a long-distance ride, it’s a powerful initiative that raises awareness and funds for Youth Focus, supporting the mental health and wellbeing of young Western Australians.

Held annually in March, the Hawaiian Ride for Youth sees cyclists travel over 700 kilometres from Albany to Perth across 4.5 days. As they pass through towns in the South West, Great Southern, and Wheatbelt, riders stop at local high schools to engage with students about the importance of positive mental health. These school visits are at the heart of the event, offering young people meaningful conversations, encouragement, and support.

The purpose of the ride is deeply rooted in building a safe, connected, and supportive community for young people, where mental health is openly discussed and prioritised. The upcoming visits to Australind and Harvey high schools highlight the event’s ongoing commitment to making a difference in regional communities.

With a proud legacy and a clear vision for the future, the Hawaiian Ride for Youth continues to be a vital movement in promoting mental wellness. Through its 2023–26 Strategic Plan, the event aims to further expand its impact, reaching more students and communities each year.

We look forward to welcoming the riders back to the Harvey Region in 2026 and celebrating the important conversations they inspire along the way.
