Dandjoo Bilya Trail

The Dandjoo Bilya Trail (also known as the Twin Rivers Trail or Urban Walk) is a stunning river walk that follows the lower Collie and Brunswick Rivers in Australind.

SOUTHERN SECTION

The southern section extends from the Old Lower Collie River Jetty car park to the Eastwell Boat Ramp Precinct.

  • Section 1 Clifton Community Reserve: a 600m dual-use bitumen path that extends from the Old Lower Collie River Jetty car park to the eastern section of the Clifton Community Reserve. Wheelchair and pram friendly.
  • Section 2 Clifton Community Reserve to Sutton Court: a 1.6 km limestone path.
  • Section 3 Sutton Court to Eastwell Boat Ramp Precinct: a 1.5km bush path.

NORTHERN SECTION

The northern section extends from the Lower Brunswick River Bridge car park at Paris Road to the Paperbark Boardwalk. This trail is also accessible from Kingfisher Terrace, which has a small car parking area.

  • Section 4 LowerBrunswick River Bridge to the Paperbark Boardwalk: 1.5 km limestone path.

Trailheads Location

  • Park at the Lower Collie River Bridge Car Park (off Old Coast Road, Australind), Eastwell Boat Ramp Precinct (off Eastwell Road, Australind) or the Lower Brunswick River Bridge (off Paris Road, Australind). Please note: there is no trail signage.

Grade/difficulty

  • Section 1: Grade 1 with cement path.
  • Section 2: Grade 2 bush walk. Some small inclines. Limestone, sand, and boardwalks.
  • Section 3: Grade 2-3 bush walk. Inclines, a boardwalk, and very sandy in places.  Please note: this part of the track is undesignated.
  • Section 4: Grade 2 bush walk. Flat with limestone and sand.

Length

  • Southern Section –  3.7 km (7.4 km return)
  • Northern Section – 1.5 km (3 km return).

Duration

  • Southern Section – approximately 40 mins or 1 – 1.5 hours return.
  • Northern Section – approximately 20 mins or 40 mins return.
