Brunswick War Memorial Precinct

Brunswick War Memorial Precinct
Adjacent to the Brunswick Hall, the Brunswick War Memorial Precinct features a memorial arch, rose garden, plaques and a gun.

The war memorial gates were erected in 1947 to honour the district’s men who had served in both World Wars, and the site was opened by the Governor of Western Australia, Sir James Mitchell, on 30 October 1948.

The gates were originally located at the rear of the hall, then moved to the main gateway of the Brunswick Recreation Grounds. They were subsequently moved to the current location. The date of these relocations has not been determined.

The 10th Light Horse Regiment Commemorative Art Work is also located nearby.

Together, these elements form a place of reflection and remembrance, recognising the district’s men and women who served in both World Wars.
