Binningup Beach & Foreshore

Binningup Beach & Foreshore
One of the best beaches in the South West, Binningup Beach offers the perfect opportunity to relax on the pristine white sand and soak up the sun.

Take your four-wheel drive down onto the hard sands, making sure to avoid the swimming beach area or launch your boat into the water to explore the magnificent coastline. Snorkelers will revel in the calm waters where they can explore the reef that runs parallel to Binningup Beach.

Keen anglers will enjoy fishing from the beach for popular fish such as Bream, Tailor, and Yellow Fin Whiting. If you are fishing from a boat, expect to find Dhufish, Baldchin groper, Skippy, Pink Snapper, Nanagai, and the occasional large King George whiting.

To the north is Weedies, where surfers venture to catch small to medium waves. This is also where kite surfers like to hang out when the swell is up. At times, there is also a good left option south of the Life-saving Club – please check tide conditions as it may be very shallow to the reef.

Kids will love the nautical-inspired playground with Waabiny, the pirate ship. The surrounding grass area and BBQ are perfect for a family picnic overlooking the Indian Ocean.

Within the Foreshore precinct area you will find:

  • Binningup Beach Swimming Area – this is guarded in the summer by the Binningup Surf Life Saving Club. There is disability access to the beach.
  • Binningup Boat Ramp – sand. 4WD required.
  • Binningup’s south 4WD access point
  • Binningup Foreshore Playground; and
  • Binningup Fishing Club.

Binningup Beach is just a 20-minute drive from Harvey and a 1.5-hour drive south of Perth.
