July 13 @ 8:00 AM - July 14 @ 5:00 PM

The Bunbury Barbarians Junior Rugby Union Club, in partnership with RugbyWA, invites teams, families, and spectators to a dynamic weekend of junior rugby at the Leschenault Recreation Grounds in Australind.

This exciting tournament brings together young athletes from across the region to compete for Cup and Shield Championships, MVP honours, and the coveted Belt Up Spirit of the Game Award, which recognises outstanding sportsmanship.

The event opens on Saturday with a heartfelt Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony led by Wardandi Elder Dennis Jetta, acknowledging the traditional custodians of the land.

Games will take place across multiple fields, with a dedicated marshal on each pitch to keep things running smoothly. On-site amenities include a breakfast BBQ, food vans, a canteen with coffee and snacks, and a tuck shop to keep players and spectators fuelled throughout the day. Stalls include The Braiding Boutique, tournament sponsor booths, and a marquee offering NAIDOC-themed activities to celebrate culture and community.

Toilet facilities are located throughout the grounds, with first aid support available near Oval 1. A tournament briefing will be held on Friday, 11 July at 6pm in the Tennis Pavilion.

With friendly competition, family fun, and community spirit at its core, the Bunbury Barbarians Junior Rugby Tournament promises a memorable weekend for all involved.
