Get ready for an engaging new children’s production from Breaksea, touring in 2026!
Crafted by award-winning composers Gina Williams-Ghouse and Guy Ghouse – known for Wanjoo and Koolbardi wer Wardong – this vibrant show brings to life the creation story of how the Bardinar (Western Rosella) acquired its beautiful colours. The production features stunning costumes, playful puppets, energetic dance, and original music.
Designed for children aged 4 to 12 and their families, the 45-minute performance is full of fun storytelling, singing and lively dialogue. Audience members will meet a cheeky frog, an elegant swan, and the hilarious willy wagtail!
The cast includes Gina Williams-Ghouse, Jarred Wall and Julianna Marie, and it promises to be a sensory delight with superb musical direction by Pia Harris, imaginative set design by Fiona Bruce, incredible costumes by Michelle Ward, and under the visionary direction of Matt Reuben James Ward.
Presented bilingually in Noongar and English, Aliwah Bardinar! offers audiences a chance to experience an ancient language and story that celebrates the diverse animals of Noongar boodja (land).
