Wardandi Flora Reserve

The Wardandi Flora Reserve is an A Class Reserve located in Treendale and forms a part of the Kalgulup Regional Park.

Wardandi (or Wadandi) are the First Nation/Aboriginal people of the Leschenault/Australind area. In Noongar, Wardandi means ‘people who live by the ocean and walk the forest paths’.

Local Noongar elders gave permission to use the name to the Australind Bushcare Council when it was established as a reserve.

The Reserve is home to a range of local wildlife, including Ringtail Possums, and abounds with wildflowers in Spring.

It is also considered a significant Aboriginal site for the Wardandi people.

Dogs are allowed on a lead.
