Chefs, Josh Faulkner and Dale Squirrell (previously the head chef at Brugan Brewery) have recently opened this cafe, which has been quickly loved by locals.

From a Nourish Bowl to a Root Beer Pulled Pork Burger, the all-day dining menu will get your mouth watering.

Super coffee and friendly service mean that it’s your one-stop shop for either breakfast or lunch on your trip to the Harvey Region.

Building History

Throughout the decades, this California Bungalow has been home to many family-run businesses. It was constructed in 1933 for Vic Feazey as a residence and separate shop, the Excelsior Bakery.

The architect was Percy Harrison, and it cost $1,100 pounds to build. It was first known as the Excelsior Bakery, the name he had transferred from the old bakery across the railway line.

The shop was owned and operated by Campbell & Co as a bakery and tearooms from 1935 to the 1950s.

Ron Campbell would bake bread, including his famous malt bread and Swiss rolls, in original ovens that still exist today.

In the 1950s to the 1980s, it became the Cook’s Tearooms, famous for their delicious milkshakes.
