Paris Road was named after Dr. Paris, a Western Australian Land Company shareholder in 1840.

Initially, the road was known as Road 1303 or the Brunswick Road, as it provided the primary route to Brunswick Junction and surrounding farmland from the historic town of Australind.

Many of the first settlers were granted land in Australind for their ‘town plot’, plus agricultural land further afield.
