The Harvey Region is a popular gravel road and four-wheel driving destination with many challenging unsealed roads and tracks throughout our forests, hills and along our beaches.
Please be safe and keep to the designated tracks.
Coastal 4WD
Take to the beach. You will find 4WD access at Binningup, Myalup and Belvidere beaches. Wind down the windows to enjoy cool coastal breezes and admire scenic views of the Harvey Region’s 42kms of coastline, including the Lescehanult Peninsula Conservation Park.
Try your luck fishing for Whiting, Herring, Skippy, Tailor, and Mulloway in the summer. Grab your binoculars and enjoy spotting shorebirds roosting and nesting.
To protect our coastal environment, please do not venture into the dunes.
Hinterland Off-road Adventures
Hit the gravel and explore the Hinterland back-ways of the Harvey Region.
Some tracks are ‘undesignated’ and for experienced four-wheel drivers only, but there are many other tracks where you can get away, enjoy beautiful views and appreciate the quiet wonder of the Harvey and Mornington Hills.
For a stunning gravel drive, try the Beela–Big Tree Scenic Drive. For an extra diversion, head down Camford Road, which runs parallel to the upper-reaches of the Brunswick River. Stop for a picnic along the way (no facilities).
Other favourite drives which include some gravel driving include the Three Dam Scenic Gravel Drive.
Hard core 4WDer’s usually head to Bob’s Hill. Warning – Bob’s Hill is extremely dangerous and suitable for very experienced drivers only..
