Audiences can expect a breathtaking showcase of vibrant singing, swirling dances, and powerful traditional percussion—an uplifting expression of joy and cultural unity.

Under the leadership of Dr. Muriel Hillion, whose PhD research at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) focused on Maloya dance and music, Salama’s performances blend storytelling, striking visuals, and original compositions. Through their music, the group shares island-inspired rhapsodies while promoting harmony in diversity, bringing a rich tapestry of traditions to Australian audiences.
