Dr Stimson’s House & Surgery circa 1920s Historic Site
Dr Francis Gordon (known as Gordon) Stimson’s house and surgery once stood at this site.

He diligently served the town from 1935 until he died in 1958.

The nearby Snell Park Wishing Well was built in 1960 as a memorial to Dr Stimson.

The following year, the new Harvey Hospital Maternity ward also recognised his work delivering numerous post-war Harvey babies.
