Binningup Beach Entry Statement

The Binningup Beach Entry Statement mosaic welcomes you to Binningup and illustrates that fishing and boating are two of the locals’ and visitors’ favourite activities.

The $39,000 sculpture of a fishing boat hull, resting on a stainless steel base, is composed of 300 clay fish, hand-carved and hand-glazed in colours changing from yellow to gold.

Created by Harvey artist Anthea Ward, the project took 18 months to complete. Steven Price welded and shaped the stainless steel, and Evan Holmes and Laser Cutting Technology in Australind cut the steel.

The Mosaic Statement was completed in 2007.
