Harvey Region Top 5 Visitor Destination

The Harvey Region has secured a top 5 placement in the latest Australia’s South West report on Intrastate visitor numbers.

The latest data from Tourism WA and Tourism Research Australia indicated that international, interstate and Western Australian visitors spent an estimated $182M in the Harvey Region in 2025. This included:
  • 456,281 Visitors
  • 827,182 Visitor Days/Nights.

The largest proportion of visitors was intrastate, spending $111,577,000 and accounting for 395,349 day/nights.

This result moved the Harvey Region into the fifth-most-visited local government area in the South West, only a few per cent behind Bunbury and Albany.

Since establishing the Shire’s Destination Harvey Region (Economic Development business unit) a few years ago, the visitor economy has increased from $53.9 million to $182 million, a 237.66% increase.
