Harvey Region’s own Lewis Italiano has been named WA Apprentice of the Year at the 2025 Western Australian Training Awards, recognising his outstanding skill and dedication to his trade.
A qualified cabinetmaker trained through South Regional TAFE, Lewis has achieved remarkable success, including a gold medal at the 2023 WorldSkills Competition and a Medallion for Excellence representing Australia in France in 2024.
Now planning to expand his skills through a carpentry apprenticeship, Lewis is a shining example of the talent and determination that define the Harvey Region, showing how local training pathways can help young professionals build world-class careers close to home.
