Applications are now open for Streets Alive – Stream 2, inviting community groups and local governments to apply for funding to enhance local roads.
This initiative supports projects that create safer, more vibrant neighborhoods through temporary or permanent street interventions that prioritize pedestrians and cyclists.
Funding Categories:
- Category A: $30,000 to $50,000
- Category B: $50,000 to $100,000
Important Dates:
- Applications Open: Monday, August 26, 2024
- Applications Close: Midnight, Monday, October 7, 2024
- Outcome Announcement: Mid-December 2024
- Project Timeline: Start after January 6, 2025, and complete by June 30, 2026
A total of $500,000 is available for this round of funding. The program aims to build local capacity, empower communities, change attitudes toward road safety, and foster collaboration between local governments and residents.
