Australind & Leschenault History
We are High Hopes & Hardship
Australind was to be built on 1,000 acres with a cathedral, churches of every denomination, colleges, library, museum, post office, military barracks, hall and tavern, a pubic quay on the estuary, a Customers House, parks and gardens for recreation, and great squares such as adorned London and Paris, streets and boulevards, and 40,000 numbered buildings blocks to provide houses for the future population.
