The Harvey Region is poised to capture a bigger slice of the RV tourism market after being declared RV Friendly by Australia’s largest recreational vehicle club.
The Region caught the attention of the popular Campervan and Motorhome Club of Australia (CMCA) in mid 2023, after the Shire of Harvey launched a 12-month short-stay parking bay trial.
The successful trial concluded earlier this year and the Shire permanently welcomed RV travellers to strategic sites along the hinterland.
The CMCA boasts more than 70,000 members and is a trusted national source for RV travel information. We are now listed on their RV Friendly Map and website, and we’ll be covered in their monthly magazine.
The RV community is known to spend an average of $100 per day when travelling, so we are positioned to take full advantage of this free advertising and get visitors buying local.
RV 48 Hour sites are located at the Harvey and Brunswick Recreation Grounds. RV travellers can also enjoy a short-stay at the Yarloop Recreation Ground, but that site does not include a dump point.
