SUMMARY:Circuitwest\, Mark McDonald & Collaborators present a playing WA Tour - FIFO at the Harvey Recreation and Cultural Centre
DESCRIPTION:FIFO is a theatre show about all things Fly In/Fly Out\, showing at the Harvey Recreation and Cultural Centre on Saturday\, 29 August 2026.\nPresented by Circuitwest\, Mark McDonald and collaborators \, ‘FIFO’ follows one full ‘swing’ of five mining employees and delivers a full spectrum of experience\, leaving audiences in uncontrollable laughter and teary reflection. \nThe show offers a raw insight into the individuals\, couples and families working around a ‘FIFO’ roster. \nFollow the cast on their exploits\, and gain insight into the cost-to-benefit ratio of the FIFO lifestyle. Each character’s motivations and crutches are revealed\, leading to both intense conflict and mateship\, in what seems to be a very regular ‘swing’. \nSuddenly a fifth employee enters the fray\, and she’s here to shake… wait! It’s a woman?! On site!? \nAs the boys struggle to adjust to their new workplace dynamic\, the industry itself is interrogated. The site becomes the forefront of some serious allegations\, and the very fabric of Australian society is put to the test. Drama becomes allegory as hard truths are revealed about Australia’s long and tangled relationship with mining\, and a decision has to be made: Is it time to cut ties from this toxic relationship? Or can the very foundations of Australian industry be rebuilt? \nShowcasing some of Perth’s most exciting talent\, ‘FIFO’ combines enthralling drama\, explosive physical theatre and touching personal stories to leave audiences with much and more to dig in to. \nShow \n\nAdult $25.00\nConcession $20.00\nUnder 17: $6.00\n\nDinner and Show \n\n6pm Pizza and Beer event in The Boundary (stand up event)\nAdult: $55.00\nConcession: $50.00\nUnder 17: $36\nUnder 5: Free\n\nPlease note that this show is for mature audiences 15 years and older. \nCabaret-style seeting. \nBook your table or call the HRCC reception at 08 9729 3311. \nBook here
