DESCRIPTION:May Gibbs\, creator of Snugglepot and Cuddlepie\, will be celebrated with a week of activities in Harvey from 12 to 18 September 2026.\nActivities will kick off with a singing picnic for toddlers at Stirling Cottage Gardens and the adjacent May Gibbs Trail. \nDuring the week\, at the Harvey Library: \n\nCraft competition – entries open on 21 August and close on 16 September\nMay Gibbs story times.\nDisplay items from May Gibbs’ life\, kindly lent by Harvey Museum and the Knight family.\n\nOn Friday\, 18 September\, a finale afternoon tea will include: \n\nA presentation by a member of May Gibbs’ family\nPresentation of her newly published May Gibbs book by author Dianne Wolfer\nPrize giving for the May Gibbs craft competition\nCelebration of 105 years of Harvey Public Library building.\n\n \nMay Gibbs week_- part of the Harvey Region Heritage Festival \nMay Gibbs Week – Part of 2026 Harvey Region Heritage Festival
