Wokalup House Historic Site

Wokalup House stood for nearly 100 years near South West Highway north of Wokalup.
Waller and Louisa Clifton took over the property in 1875 and raised their 10 children.
The original timber cottage was improved by adding brick-walled rooms with ornate bow windows and a pillared verandah.
The State Government reclaimed the property for road works. A pine tree still stands near the site.
