Mr Moss’ Garage Historic Site 1928 & Vibe Service Station
A service station has stood on this site for nearly 100 years. Mr Cecil Moss opened the first garage in 1928.

Besides the garage, he had a contractor business, drove Harvey district children to school, and was the agent for Chrysler cars. Mr Tom MacMillan became the proprietor of the Main Road Garage by the early 1930s.

Later, the service station became Hinge’s Garage, colloquially known as Hinge’s Corner. Mr Hinge also drove the local ‘Cheesebox’ school bus.

I remember the tea rooms, owned by Mr Hinge, sold green (lime) homemade ice cream.
